Santa

We went to the mall to see Santa today. McKinley loved him! He was very kind and obviously has a real beard. Neither of the girls were afraid of him or anything, but McKinley ran back to give him a quick hug when they got off his lap. :) When I asked McKinley if he was the real Santa or one of Santa's helpers, she said he was the real one.
This is quite a different reaction than she had last year. Christmas Eve, we were getting ready to put her to bed and told her she had to go to sleep so Santa could come and leave her presents. Roy took her to the computer to see a web site that tracked Santa's route through the world. McKinley got really worried and said she didn't want to trap Santa. When we explained that we weren't going to trap him; we were just seeing where he was, she started worrying about him coming into our house (like he was a burgler or something). She started crying and said she didn't want Santa to come anymore -- even if he left presents for her. I don't think we have to worry about that kind of response this year.

Those are the cutest pictures!!! I especially love the one of McKinley hugging him...so adorable. That was funny last Christmas Eve - I'm glad you wrote that down so it's documented somewhere. ( :

What sweet pictures. My kids won't get any where near Santa.

You should see "Santa" during the year around town, it is a hoot to see. There used to be one here that had his license plates on his car with "SANTA" on them. Great pictures, sounds like a lot of fun!
